When I purchased my first Irish, my horse had just qualified for 1st
level horse of the year in dressage and I was looking for a good pet. My pup was the 3rd pick out of four puppies but I promised her
breeder, Dennis Sheehan, that I would show her if she turned out.

As Heather was growing up, she was a perfect
house pet, killed
rats in the barn, followed me when I went for rides and played with
the neighborhood children. At 9 months, she went to Montgomery
and won Best of Winners. She went on to win multiple group wins
and placements when Irish were not placing much in the groups. It
makes you wonder how many good dogs never see the show ring.

I
have been breeding and showing since then, meeting many
wonderful people along the way. I breed occasionally, 13 litters in
25 years, for a good temperament, a good ring presence without
being overly aggressive, health and good movement. My dogs are
all housepets, and I never have more than 3 dogs.
I am a member of the ITCA, member and past president of the
ITCC and past president of the Great Lakes Terrier Association.
